Darren and Alice met at Portner Novelli - a large PR agency - in the early 90's. Darren was a trade journalist turned PR who specialised in promoting videos (as it was back then) and Alice was a trainee press officer. They worked together on some of the decade's biggest VHS releases, such as Jurassic Park, Forrest Gump, Mission Impossible and Star Trek, as well as consumer campaigns for some huge clients like McDonald's, Nissan and Weetabix.
Darren left to head up the PR division at CDP - the famous advertising agency - with MGM Home Entertainment (and James Bond) as a client, Alice missed him and followed close behind. They spent a few happy years securing new PR clients for the agency and worked on the launch of new format DVD. The PR team grew, and became successful and over dinner in an Indian restaurant one night the decision was made to go it alone!
DnA PR was born in 2001 and moved into a little office above the Ann Summers shop in London's Soho. MGM Home Entertainment, a much loved first client, became Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and other clients, team members and Basil the dog soon came on board. Once again the team found itself at the forefront of the launch of another new format: Blu-ray. Little office became bigger office in Soho and eventually became an even bigger office in cool Clerkenwell.
DnA PR has won lots of awards and is well known and respected within the entertainment industry. It specialises in creating and implementing publicity campaigns or launch events for film, TV, home entertainment, travel and venue clients. The agency also manages talent and provides Third Party Services, working with strong and relevant partners to add value wherever possible.
DnA PR now lives by the seaside in Brighton and is still run with much love and attention by Darren, Alice and their experienced, dedicated team.
