CASE STUDY: SONY MOVIES CLASSIC

Return of the classic movie channel (2021)

Sony Movies Classic returned to our TV screens in January, and the relaunch also brought with it a whole selection of great new content, from The Graduate to Alfred Hitchcock’s infamous horror, Psycho.

 

To promote the great new movies airing on the channel and in celebration of National Screenwriters Day, we ran a survey to find out what makes a film a classic, and worked with screenwriter and journalist Andrew Collins who was interviewed by radio stations across the country on the findings. In total Andrew was interviewed on 17 stations, with 9 of these BBC regionals, and the pre-recorded audio package was picked up by another 121 channels. 

We also sent out some amazing Psycho themed cupcakes, complete with chocolate knife and red ‘blood’ icing to listings media, horror press and influencers. This garnered coverage from the likes of Yours Retro, Best Magazine, FrightFest, Love Horror, The Final Girls, James King, Rhianna Dhillon and many more.
