CASE STUDY: ROALD DAHL'S MATILDA THE MUSICAL
Running an extremely comprehensive press office, we placed a series of competitions, reviews and interviews for the home entertainment release of Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical in February 2023.
Kicking off the activity, we sent film press and influencers a themed mailer including an iconic red beret, chocolate cake and icing mix to create the legendary Bruce cake, inflatable microphones and Joe & Seph’s popcorn.
The film’s director Matthew Marchus and composer Tim Minchin talked EMPIRE through the process of adapting the musical into a movie, giving readers an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the impressive feat that included over 100 chocolate cakes - and over 100 kids!
We also worked with the Roald Dahl Company and Luxury Family Hotels to give one lucky Marie Claire winner an overnight family break including a Matilda themed afternoon tea.
