CASE STUDY: GREAT! MOVIES CHRISTMAS 2022

GREAT! movies Christmas brought the festive season early again for another year, this time at the beginning of September. We wanted to signify this with a big event and big partner so were beyond delighted to work with the Blackpool Illuminations team. For the main activity, a GREAT! animation was projected onto the Blackpool Ballroom building under the tower through from September to November. It was shown over 300 times and over 10 million people visited during this time.

 

We were also lucky enough to have physical presence on the world-famous promenade during the Illuminations Switch-On event, where we brought down a fun selfie board, Christmas flavoured rock and GREAT! movies christmas bingo cards. The promenade also had a giant branded stick of rock installation lit up every night during the promotion.

 

To carry on the exposure through to January, we sent out gifts of the flavoured rock as well as working with University Challenge’s Michael Hutchinson to create some fun festive facts as we counted down 50 days until Christmas.
