CASE STUDY: THE EQUALIZER 3 (2023)

We focussed on the The Equalizer 3’s high action elements and Italian location for our PR campaign.

 

For our Home Premiere window, we worked with HYBRID FMA to give 3 lifestyle and fitness influencers the chance to try Filipino Martial Arts, the style used by Denzel in The Equalizer films. ​They were invited to a London gym for a 2-hour workshop, learning the basics of FMA with an introduction to martial arts for stage and screen. ​The result was really fun, engaging content  from Gabriel Sey, MussBeFit and Robert J Douglas that targeted our key male 25+ audience.

English/Italian food creator, Sepps, created a pasta dish on Instagram inspired by the film's setting of The Amalfi Coast, which he shared with his Italian Nonna! The content felt really organic - the video was viewed over 1M times and gained over 33K likes. 

​

We also sent some 'Big Night In' mailers to influencers The Joy of Five, The Williamsons and Hollie Plus, who sat down to enjoy the film at home with their partners.

EMPIRE magazine interviewed experienced action screenwriter, Richard Wenk, about his inspiration behind the final film in the franchise, giving our audience a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of the movie.​ 

Partnering with key lifestyle magazine, Men's Health, we gave fans the chance to win a fitness bundle. The competition consisted of a page hosted online and email newsletter mentions. It racked up 16,000 entries over the course of two weeks.​

We also ran editorial with male skewing film site, Hey U Guys, on a feature that focussed on Denzel Washington's prestigious career and emphasised the importance of the final franchise instalment.
